Here at Best Recipes, we love a dessert that involves shortcuts, especially when that ‘shortcut’ is a seriously underrated Arnott’s biscuit!

Dessert is always a course you want to be able to get on the table fast.

With this in mind,  we can’t go past this Pineapple Delight by recipe creator SarahM, a cheat’s version of a traditional trifle that’s “easy and delicious”.

And just wait until you find out what the secret ingredient that brings it all together is!

Pineapple Delight: the secret ingredient

Arnott's Ginger Nut

This cheat’s dessert uses Arnott’s Ginger Nuts as a substitute for the sponge cake layer in trifle.

The golden biscuit’s sweet ginger goodness pairs perfectly with the crushed pineapple and vanilla cream layers — I’m salivating just thinking about it!

“This tastes fantastic. We had friends over for dinner, and they couldn’t stop eating this. Doubled the recipe and used Butternut Snaps and tropical fruit salad – voilà! A light, fruity yet deliciously creamy alternative to the traditional trifle.” – Guddi.
