A more modern toffee.
Ingredients
- 2 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup brown vinegar
Method

Step 1Combine sugar, water and vinegar in saucepan, stir over low heat until sugar has dissolved.

Step 2Increase heat, boil rapidly without stirring for approximately 15 minutes, or until a small amount of mixture will crack when tested in cold water. (Remove from heat while testing).

Step 3Remove from heat, allow bubbles to subside, pour into patty cases. Leave for 5 minutes before decorating with chopped nuts, hundreds and thousands, coconut, etc.
