Ingredients
- 250 g currants
- 250 g sultanas
- 250 g apple
- 120 g mixed peel
- 250 g suet shredded
- 1/2 tsp mixed spice
- 1 lemon rind grated juiced
- 250 g dark brown sugar
- 60 g almonds chopped
- 4 tsp brandy
Method

Step 1Chop fruit together with the suet. Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Step 2Leave covered in a large bowl for a week, stirring every day.

Step 3Place into jars and cover.

Step 4Keep for a few weeks and stir before using.
