Ingredients

  • 4 cup chicken stock (liquid)
  • 2 tomato chopped large
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper *to taste
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 shallots sliced
  • 2 tbs coriander torn
  • 2 egg lightly beaten

Method

  • Step 1
    Combine the stock, tomatoes, soy sauce and sugar in a saucepan.
  • Step 2
    Bring to boil then reduce heat and simmer for 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Season with pepper and sesame oil.
  • Step 4
    Add the eggs in a thin stream, stirring the soup in a clockwise direction, to form thin egg stream.
  • Step 5
    Let stand for 1 minute. Serve with onions and coriander.

  • 1 saucepan
Recipe Notes
You can use vegetable or beef stock as well.
