You will love this and want more. A great Asian dish.
Ingredients
- 400 g Hokkien noodle
- 500 g beef rump steak
- 1 cup bok choy chopped
- 1 cup baby corn
- 2 egg
- 1 tbs water
- 1 cup canned beans
- 1/2 cup water chestnuts thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup bamboo shoots
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 4 spring onion sliced
- 1 red capsicum small julienned
- 3/4 cup cauliflower pieces small
- 3/4 cup broccoli pieces small
- 3/4 cup carrot julienned
- 1 cup cabbage thinly sliced
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 2 cup ginger crushed
- 1 tbs coriander chopped
- 1 red chilli finely chopped small
- 2 tbs sesame oil
Sauce
- 1 tbs oyster sauce
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tbs fish sauce
- 1 tbs gravy powder
- 1/2 cup water
Method

Step 1Combine sauce ingredients, stirring well.

Step 2Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in wok until it starts to smoke. Stir fry meat in batches until browned, Set aside.

Step 3Fry eggs into thin omelettes and then cut into strips. Set aside. Thinly slice steak into 5 cm lengths.

Step 4Stir fry vegetables until just cooked. Set aside.

Step 5Stir fry garlic, ginger, coriander, and spring onions for 2 minutes, set aside.

Step 6Meanwhile, place noodles in a bowl covered with boiling water, cover.

Step 7Place meat, garlic mixture and vegetables in hot wok. Add sauce to meat mixture stirring well.

Step 8Add more water, if needed, and simmer for 1 minute whilst stirring.

Step 9Add strained noodles, mix thoroughly, then add bean sprouts stir in well.
Recipe Notes
Add more sesame oil to the wok as needed. Sambal oelek or kecap manis may be added. Chicken and prawns, or pork may be used instead of beef. Egg noodles can also be used. Spinach can substitute bok choy.
