Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbs self-raising flour
  • 30g vegetable soup mix
  • 1 cup cooked chicken chopped
  • 1 cup tasty cheese grated
  • 1/4 cup spring onion diced
  • 425g John West asparagus cut into pieces drained

Method

  • Step 1
    Lightly beat together the eggs, milk and cream.
  • Step 2
    Add the flour and soup mix. Stir to combine.

  • Step 3
    Add the cheese, chicken and onions. Stir until mixed in.
  • Step 4
    Pour into a greased pie plate or flan dish. Arrange the asparagus on top.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 180C for approximately 40-50 minutes or until golden brown.
Recipe Notes

Check the quiche at 40 minutes. If you insert a skewer in the middle and it comes out clean you know it is cooked. Sometimes, depending on different ovens it can cook quicker than other times.

Chicken can be omitted if desired.
