Green smoothies are a simple way to increase your daily vegetable intake. This version does just that, without compromising on taste – a squeeze of lime juice can also be added for a zesty twist.
Ingredients
- 1 banana frozen sliced
- 1/2 zucchini frozen roughly chopped
- 1 handful spinach leaves
- 1/4 avocado
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1 tbs chia seeds
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 1 handful mint leaves *optional
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 1 handful mixed berries *to serve
- 1 handful coconut flakes *to serve

Step 1Place all of the ingredients into a blender, except for the berries and coconut flakes. Blitz until they’ve formed a smooth, creamy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, add 1-2 tbs of water.

Step 2To serve, pour the smoothie mixture into a bowl and top with berries and coconut flakes.

You can use any of these protein powders: Nuzest Clean Lean Protein for a vegan pea protein and Myprotein Impact Whey Protein (stevia sweetened).
