Picture it: you’re in the supermarket trying to pick what to cook for dinner when all you’re craving is takeaway.
We’ve all been there, which is why we can’t get enough of a good ‘fakeaway’ meal at Australia’s Best Recipes (and the less effort involved, the better).
Creating your fave takeaway meals just got easier, with Zeus Street Greek bringing its famous chicken to Woolies.
The supermarket has released a limited edition roast chicken featuring the fast food chain’s signature seasoning.
It follows the launch of gyros and rice pilaf kits earlier this year, meaning you now have everything you need to make Zeus Street Greek food in the comfort of your home!

Available nationally, these ready-to-grab bachelor’s handbags have Zeus’ signature zesty lemon and herb seasoning with a paprika, smoky lemon, garlic and herb breadcrumb stuffing – yum!
“Our original seasoning is a celebration of authentic Greek flavours that our customers know and love,” says Zeus Street Greek CEO Ramon Castillo.
“Bringing the taste of our Zeus Street Greek original seasoning to the Woolies’ hot roast chicken means more Aussies can enjoy a little taste of Zeus at home.”
Zeus Street Greek roast chook: what Woolworths has to say
The supermarket’s Merchandise Manager (or ‘Chief Chook Officer’) Matt Harbich says “customers can’t get enough” of Woolworths’ roast chicken range.
“While you can’t go wrong with a classic, our customers go wild over new and trending flavours,” he says.
“Zeus Street Greek is an incredible Aussie success story and they clearly have the recipe for what Aussies want to eat, so it’s amazing to partner with them on this delicious roast chicken.
“It also perfectly complements the new range of Zeus Street Greek products at Woolworths, such as the DIY pita kits to easily make gyros at home.”

Woolies now stocks 15 Zeus Street Greek items, including gyros and pilaf kits, sauces and spice rubs.
The gyros kits have everything you need to create authentic Greek food in the comfort of your kitchen, containing pita bread, souvlaki seasoning and Greek aioli.
You can also purchase the pita bread on its own, as well as Zeus’ aioli sauce, available in three flavours: classic, mustard and spicy.
