Ingredients

  • 250 g self-raising flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 1/2 tbs milk powder
  • 300 ml water
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

  • Step 1
    Beat eggs and water together with a stab mixer.
  • Step 2
    Sift in flour and powdered milk, and beat well.

  • Step 3
    Add melted butter and vanilla, and beat again.
  • Step 4
    Pour about 3 tablespoons of batter into a well greased, heated waffle iron.
  • Step 5
    Cook until golden brown.
  • Step 6
    Serve with maple syrup and cream.
Recipe Notes

I guess milk would substitute for powdered milk and water but I have never tried it.

Leftovers can be frozen and reheated in a toaster.
