A good party dish, inexpensive and quick to prepare.
Ingredients
- 500 g spirals pasta shapes large
- 300 ml sour cream
- 250 ml cream
- 2 cup cheese grated
- 3 cup mixed vegetables diced
- 1/2 tsp salt and pepper
- 1/2 tsp fresh mixed herbs finely chopped
Method

Step 1Grease a large dish.

Step 2Cook pasta until bite-tender.

Step 3Place pasta, cream, 1 cup grated cheese, salt and pepper, vegetables and herbs in dish.

Step 4Mix well to combine.

Step 5Pour sour cream over pasta, sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of grated cheese.

Step 6Cover dish with foil. Bake in moderate oven for 30 minutes.

Step 7Remove foil, bake further 10-15 minutes until cheese topping is browned.

Recipe Notes
Gluten free pasta be substituted in this dish. Quantity of cheese can be adjusted to personal taste. I use a 30 x 24 x 6 cm bainmarie dish for this recipe. Evaporated milk can substitute cream and ¼ teaspoon dried mixed herbs instead of fresh herbs. You can use vegetables of choice e.g. spring onions, peas, carrot, corn, asparagus, capsicum, sweet potato, broccoli.
