A chewy toffee of the olden days.
Ingredients
- 2 cup white sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tbs butter
Method

Step 1Butter a saucepan all over before adding the ingredients.

Step 2Add the ingredients but do not stir.

Step 3Toffee is cooked when a little dropped into water becomes brittle.

Step 4Put into paper patty pans when ready, working quickly.

Step 5Sprinkle with hundreds and thousands, nuts or coconut.
