Ingredients

  • 2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 tbs butter

Method

  • Step 1
    Butter a saucepan all over before adding the ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Add the ingredients but do not stir.
  • Step 3
    Toffee is cooked when a little dropped into water becomes brittle.
  • Step 4
    Put into paper patty pans when ready, working quickly.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle with hundreds and thousands, nuts or coconut.
