These are one of the easiest starters to make. These chicken balls are baked, so they are much kinder to your heart and your waistline. A great idea for unexpected guests.

Ingredients

  • 500 g chicken mince
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 tbs Woolworths Essentials Self-Raising Flour
  • 1 tbs fish sauce
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 160 ml coconut milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce *to serve
  • 1 chilli sliced *to serve

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 200C. Grease two 12-hole, non-stick mini muffin pans.
  • Step 2
    Combine mince, oyster sauce, garlic, flour, fish sauce, coriander and coconut milk in a large bowl.
  • Step 3
    Place rounded tablespoons of mixture into prepared pans.
  • Step 4
    Bake for about 15 minutes or until cooked.
  • Step 5
    Turn balls out and serve hot with recommended sauces above.

  • 2 12-hole muffin pan
  • 1 bowl
Recipe Notes

I make double the quantity as they disappear very quickly.

Very important to use a non-stick mini muffin pan.

You do not need to roll these chicken balls, all you do is place a tablespoon of mixture into the tin.

You can also serve with sweet chilli sauce.

These are suitable to freeze.
