Taco mince
Ingredients
- 420 g canned kidney beans
- 500 g lean beef mince
- 1/2 cup onion finely chopped
- 415 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 4 tbs tomato paste
- 2 tbs taco seasoning
- 1 chilli finely chopped optional *to taste
Method

Step 1Drain and rinse kidney beans.

Step 2Sauté mince, garlic and chilli until mince is browned.

Step 3Add onion and cook 2 minutes.

Step 4Add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, taco seasoning and then stir well to mix through.

Step 5Fold in kidney beans and simmer 3 minutes.
Recipe Notes
Great for tacos, nachos and even hot on toast for a quick meal. Add fresh tomato, cucumber, lettuce, avocado and grated cheese to the top of tacos and nachos. Unsalted kidney beans may be used.
