Ingredients

  • 300 g macaroni
  • 4 bacon rashers diced fat trimmed
  • 30 g butter
  • 2 onion large sliced
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 200 ml cream
  • 50 g tasty cheese grated
  • 3 potato boiled peeled skin on sliced
  • 3 tbs cream whipped

Method

  • Step 1
    Boil macaroni in salted water until just tender (al dente). Pour off the water and rinse with cold water. Allow to drain.
  • Step 2
    Fry bacon until just crisp.
  • Step 3
    Saute onions in butter until golden brown. Add crushed garlic and cream, and simmer for 2 minutes. Add macaroni and mix well. Add cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Add the potatoes and whipped cream to the macaroni.
  • Step 5
    Reheat and serve in bowls.
