Corned beef cooked in the slow cooker.
Ingredients
- 500 g corned beef
- 5 ground cloves
- 1 onion quartered
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- 1 tsp mixed spice
- 50 ml brown vinegar
Method

Step 1Rinse corned beef under cold water.

Step 2Put all ingredients into the slow cooker and fill with enough hot water to cover the beef.

Step 3Cook on auto setting until you are ready to eat.
Recipe Notes
The corned beef done this way has always been so tender that I would not do it any other way. You can play around with the quantities of the ingredients and it will still come out great. This is the only way I ever cook corned beef now.
