Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbs cream
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
    Melt a small amount of butter in a frying pan.
    Scrambled Eggs
  • Step 2
    Whisk the eggs, cream, salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Pour the egg mixture into the frying pan.
  • Step 4
    When partially cooked, slowly scrape the mixture in towards the middle of the pan. Keep doing this until cooked.
  • Step 5
    Serve on toast.

  • 1 whisk
Recipe Notes

Don't over cook the egg. Remove from the heat when just cooked and it still looks a little 'sloppy'.

Should you add milk to scrambled eggs?

Milk is sometimes included in scrambled eggs with the hope that it will make the eggs lighter, or make them go further, however, it is more likely to make them a little watery. Adding milk can make scrambled eggs taste less 'eggy', which some people may prefer. This recipe adds a little cream, which enhances the richness and makes them soft and creamy.

You can absolutely add cheese to scrambled eggs! Depending on the type of cheese and how much you use, it can either enhance the creaminess and richness of the eggs, or it will melt and create lovely crispy edges. Try adding a little grated cheddar or parmesan next time you make eggs, or crumble in some feta or soft goat's cheese just as it finishes cooking.
