Healthy and tasty.
Ingredients
- 500 g lean beef mince
- 1 carrot diced
- 1 celery stick diced
- 1 onion diced
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tomato diced
- 500ml beef stock (liquid)
- 3 tbs oil
- 1 tbs tomato sauce
- 1 tbs barbecue sauce
- 2 tbs plain flour
Method

Step 1Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in large saucepan and cook garlic, carrot, celery, tomatoes and onion until softened. Remove from pan.

Step 2Add remaining oil to pan with the mince and flour. Cook until brown. Return vegetables to pan.

Step 3Add in beef stock and sauces and simmer for 10 minutes or until sauce has thickened.

Recipe Notes
To make shepherd's pie, add mashed potato on top, sprinkle with cheese and place in oven until cheese has melted and is golden. Another alternative is to add chilli and top with a corn bread mixture and place in oven to make into a chilli con carne.
