Ingredients

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 250 g pork mince
  • 1 onion finely grated
  • 1 carrot finely grated
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbs tomato paste
  • 2 tbs soy sauce
  • 2 egg
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 4 sheets puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs to coat

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 200C.
  • Step 2
    Cook onion and carrot in frypan until soft.

  • Step 3
    Add garlic powder, herbs and tomato paste.
  • Step 4
    Place onion and carrot into a bowl, and add the mince and eggs.
  • Step 5
    Stir until combined.
  • Step 6
    Add breadcrumbs and soy sauce and mix until combined.
  • Step 7
    Shape mince into 4 logs to fit the size of the pastry.
  • Step 8
    Brush pastry sheets with beaten egg.
  • Step 9
    Roll logs in extra breadcrumbs.
  • Step 10
    Place logs on pastry sheet and roll up.
  • Step 11
    Place on a baking tray and cut in half.
  • Step 12
    Brush logs with beaten egg.
  • Step 13
    Bake for 20-25 minute or until golden.
