An easily prepared recipe given to me by my friend Sandy, developed from a well known brand of rice in South Africa.
Ingredients
- 250 g beef mince
- 1 cup cheese grated
- 3/4 cup onion chopped
- 3 cup water
- 1/2 cup rice uncooked
- 140 g tomato paste
- 1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
- 1 beef stock cube crumbled
Method

Step 1Brown mince and onions. Add all other ingredients, except the cheese.

Step 2Bring to the boil and simmer for ½ hour until rice is cooked. If necessary, add a little more water.

Step 3Add grated cheese and stir in well. Simmer for a further few minutes to blend well.

Step 4Serve with a fresh green salad.
