Fresh salmon grilled and drizzled with a light yet tangy citrus jus.
Ingredients
- 4 Atlantic salmon fillet
- 2 tsp ginger minced
- 2 tbs reduced-salt soy sauce
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 lemon juiced
- 2 tsp garlic minced
- 2 tsp honey
- 2 tsp butter
Method

Step 1In a saucepan, add orange juice, soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, butter, ginger and garlic.

Step 2Simmer over a low heat until the sauce thickens slightly, approximately 40 minutes.

Step 3Warm a griddle pan and add a small amount of olive oil.

Step 4Once the pan is hot add the salmon steaks.

Step 5Cook on skin side for 2 minutes, turn and cook for a further 1-2 minutes (salmon should be pink in the middle).

Step 6Rest the salmon and cover with aluminium foil.

Step 7To serve, place salmon skin side down on a plate and drizzle with the citrus jus.
Recipe Notes
This is nice served with mashed pumpkin/potato and steamed bok choy.
