Ingredients

  • 250 g plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 25 g butter
  • 2/3 cup milk

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat the oven to 220C .
  • Step 2
    Sieve the dry ingredients into a bowl. Rub in the butter or margarine until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  • Step 3
    Make a well in the centre, add milk and mix together with a round bladed knife.
  • Step 4
    Draw dough together with finger-tips and turn it on a lightly floured board.
  • Step 5
    Divide into 9 portions and shape into rolls.
  • Step 6
    Place on a greased and floured baking tray, brush with milk and bake towards the top of the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Recipe Notes

Eat these rolls while they are still hot and fresh. Use butter or margarine.
