Quick bread rolls for when you have surprise visitors.
Ingredients
- 250 g plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 25 g butter
- 2/3 cup milk
Method

Step 1Preheat the oven to 220C .

Step 2Sieve the dry ingredients into a bowl. Rub in the butter or margarine until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

Step 3Make a well in the centre, add milk and mix together with a round bladed knife.

Step 4Draw dough together with finger-tips and turn it on a lightly floured board.

Step 5Divide into 9 portions and shape into rolls.

Step 6Place on a greased and floured baking tray, brush with milk and bake towards the top of the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Recipe Notes
Eat these rolls while they are still hot and fresh. Use butter or margarine.
