Sausage rolls made with potatoes makes them nice and soft. Never make with sausages alone.
Ingredients
- 500 g sausage beef mince
- 3 potatoes cooked mashed
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 carrot grated
- 1 pinch mixed herbs
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
- 1/2 tsp curry powder *to taste
- 1 handful parsley chopped optional
- 1 packet shortcrust pastry
Method

Step 1Mix ingredients together with clean hands.

Step 2Cut pastry into 3 strips.

Step 3Spread a row of mince along the pastry strip.

Step 4Dampen edge with water and roll up to close.

Step 5Repeat with remaining mix and pastry.

Step 6Cut rolls to size and bake at 160C until golden brown.
Recipe Notes
You can use shortcrust or puff pastry.
Sprinkle pastry with sesame seeds if desired.
This recipe is easy to adapt, so add whatever vegetables or spices you like.
