Easy to make and very tasty. Seems to get better with age. I make the sauce in the microwave.

- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 egg
Meat layer

- 2 tbs tomato paste
Sauce layer

- 5 tbs plain flour
- 2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cheese grated
- 2 egg beaten

Step 1Meat layer: Heat oil in a frying pan and cook onion until just starting to colour.
-
Step 2Add meat and brown. Add seasonings, garlic, water and tomato paste, simmer gently for 1 hour.
-
Step 3Sauce layer: Melt butter in a saucepan and stir in flour. Add milk, stirring continuously, season well with salt and pepper.
-
Step 4Bring to a boil and simmer until thick. Remove from heat, cool and add cheese and eggs.

Step 7Beat egg lightly and stir through remaining spaghetti to bind, and place on top of meat layer.

Step 9Bake at 180C for 30 minutes or until top is golden brown.
