A twist on mince pasta sauce. I made this recipe at high school, and it has been a family favourite ever since.
Ingredients
- 3 cup spirals pasta shapes
- 1 onion diced
- 1 tsp garlic
- 4 bacon rashers diced
- 1 green capsicum diced
- 8 frankfurts sliced
- 800 g canned chopped tomato
- 1 tbs tomato paste
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 tbs parmesan cheese
Method

Step 1Cook pasta in boiling water.

Step 2Heat oil in frypan.

Step 3Add onion, garlic, bacon and capsicum and saute for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4Add frankfurts, cook for a further 2 minutes.

Step 5Add tomatoes, tomato paste, herbs, garlic and pepper and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 6Toss pasta through sauce.

Step 7Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
