Yummy choc chip cookies made better with Nutella. Crunchy on the outside, and yummy and chewy on the inside.
Ingredients
- 1 1/3 cup plain flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup soft butter
- 1/2 cup Nutella chocolate hazelnut spread
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Method

Step 1Preheat the oven to 180C.

Step 2Line baking trays with baking paper.

Step 3Using an electric mixer, beat butter, Nutella, white sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy.

Step 4Add egg, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.

Step 5Add vanilla extract and beat until combined.

Step 6Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, and beat to combine.

Step 7Add chocolate chips and mix through.

Step 8Drop rounded tablespoons of mixture onto prepared baking tray.

Step 9Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. The cookies will look soft when you take them out of the oven, but will firm up when they cool.

Step 10Allow cookies to cool on trays for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Recipe Notes
They spread a lot, so make sure you leave enough space between them!
