This banana cake is so moist it won't last long. This is a family favourite, it has been passed down from my nan and gets eaten as fast as hers used to. - jacksmummy

Ingredients

  • 2 tbs butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbs milk
  • 1 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 banana mashed
  • 1 egg beaten well
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar *to decorate

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 190C.
  • Step 2
    Cream butter and sugar.
  • Step 3
    Add milk, flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and banana.
  • Step 4
    Add well beaten egg.
  • Step 5
    Mix together and pour into a greased cake tin.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 40 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
  • Step 7
    Allow to cool and dust with icing sugar, or icing of choice.
