Fantastic party finger food, or a quick and easy snack for the kids.
Ingredients
- 500 g turkey mince
- 3 tbs tomato paste
- 1 tbs low-fat ricotta
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 tsp Italian mixed herbs *to taste
- 1 white onion chopped
- 4 sheets puff pastry defrosted
Method

Step 1Mix all ingredients together in a mixing bowl, except the puff pastry.

Step 2Ensure that puff pastry is partially defrosted (cover the pastry with a damp tea towel to ensure no hard edges).

Step 3Spoon mixture across the top edge of a sheet of pastry, roughly 2.5cm wide and 2.5cm high.

Step 4Roll pastry over to form a tube and slice off excess pastry.

Step 5Seal the pastry and cut into small pieces.

Step 6Repeat with the excess pastry until all the mixture is used.

Step 7Brush with beaten egg and bake at 220C for around 20 minutes.

Recipe Notes
You will get 2 tubes out of 1 sheet of puff pastry, and 1 tube makes roughly 6-8 sausage rolls (around 50 sausage rolls out of 4 sheets of pastry).
