A lovely, simple and economical family mince recipe my mother has made for years, enjoyed by all ages. Makes a large quantity, great to take to a party or use when friends stay.
Ingredients
- 1 tbs oil
- 2 onion chopped large
- 1 kg beef mince
- 820 g can condensed tomato soup
- 420 g can condensed tomato soup
- 3 tsp curry powder
- 3 tsp sugar
- 500 g shells pasta shapes
Method

Step 1Brown onions in a small amount of oil in a fry-pan. Add mince and brown.

Step 2Cook pasta according to package instructions.

Step 3Add both tomato soup to mince and stir. Combine curry powder and sugar, stir thoroughly. Simmer mince mince sauce until pasta is cooked.

Step 4Drain pasta once cooked and add to mince sauce, gently mix pasta through sauce being careful not to break shells.

Recipe Notes
This is lovely served with green beans and mashed potato, leftovers taste better next day, also freezes very well. I use Heinz tomato soup and Clive of India curry powder.
