A lovely, simple and economical family mince recipe my mother has made for years, enjoyed by all ages. Makes a large quantity, great to take to a party or use when friends stay. - Kazza8

Ingredients

  • 1 tbs oil
  • 2 onion chopped large
  • 1 kg beef mince
  • 820 g can condensed tomato soup
  • 420 g can condensed tomato soup
  • 3 tsp curry powder
  • 3 tsp sugar
  • 500 g shells pasta shapes

Method

  • Step 1
    Brown onions in a small amount of oil in a fry-pan. Add mince and brown.
  • Step 2
    Cook pasta according to package instructions.
  • Step 3
    Add both tomato soup to mince and stir. Combine curry powder and sugar, stir thoroughly. Simmer mince mince sauce until pasta is cooked.
  • Step 4
    Drain pasta once cooked and add to mince sauce, gently mix pasta through sauce being careful not to break shells.

  • 1 frying pan
Recipe Notes
This is lovely served with green beans and mashed potato, leftovers taste better next day, also freezes very well. I use Heinz tomato soup and Clive of India curry powder.
