A friend gave me this recipe. A delicious dish with the flavour of bacon and leek. You will want seconds with this one. - natahs_mum

Ingredients

  • 2 leek
  • 4 bacon rashers
  • 5 mushrooms sliced
  • 1 zucchini sliced
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 3/4 cup white wine
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1/2 cup tasty cheese grated
  • 1 tbs parmesan grated
  • 200 g pasta cooked
  • 1 pinch fresh curly parsley

Method

  • Step 1
    Wash and slice leeks. Chop bacon into pieces.
  • Step 2
    Fry butter in pan and add bacon, leeks, mushrooms and zucchini.

    When the mixture softens, add the crushed garlic.
  • Step 4
    Add the white wine, allow to bubble, then lower heat and add cream.
  • Step 5
    Stir through and simmer.
  • Step 6
    Add a little cornflour to thicken.
  • Step 7
    Add cheeses and stir through and continue to simmer for a few minutes.
  • Step 8
    Add fresh parsley if desired. Stir pasta through sauce.
  • Step 9
    Serve with steamed broccoli or other greens.
