Rich and dense. A simple treat with a cuppa.
Ingredients
- 480 g butter softened
- 600 g sugar
- 6 egg large
- 560 g plain flour
- 180 ml milk
- 1 tsp almond essence
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 140C.

Step 2Beat butter until creamy.

Step 3Add sugar and beat until light and fluffy then add eggs, one at a time.

Step 4Add flour, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour then add essences.

Step 5Pour into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.

Step 6Bake for 1 hour 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Step 7Cool in pan for 15 minutes.

Step 8Remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
