A very tasty dish to have with your favourite salad, or steamed vegetables.
Ingredients
- 500 g sausage beef mince
- 500 g beef steak, minced
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 1 tbs parsley chopped
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tsp curry powder
Sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 30 g butter
- 1 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp coffee (liquid)
- 2 tbs white vinegar
- 2 tbs lemon juice
Method

Step 1Combine sausage mince, steak mince, breadcrumbs, onion, curry powder, salt, pepper, parsley and egg in a large bowl.

Step 2Mix until all ingredients are well combined.

Step 3Gradually add milk and water until the mixture is smooth.

Step 4Place in a greased loaf pan and bake for 30 minutes at 220C. Remove from oven and pour off excess fat.

Step 5Sauce: Combine all ingredients in a pan and bring slowly to boil.

Step 6Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour the sauce over the meatloaf and return to oven for 45 minutes, basting frequently with sauce.

Recipe Notes
Can also be eaten cold on a sandwich with your favourite pickles or sauce. If you think you have too much sauce you can always put in half and baste with the rest.
