Meatballs in a rich tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 500 g lean beef mince
- 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1 egg
- 2 tbs parsley finely chopped
- 1 tbs tomato sauce
- 600 g pasta *to serve
Sauce
- 400 g canned diced tomato
- 600 g pasta sauce
- 1 tsp garlic minced
- 1 tbs brown sugar
- 1 tsp chicken stock (liquid)
- 1 onion diced
Method

Step 1Combine the meat, egg, soy sauce, tomato sauce, garlic, breadcrumbs and parsley by hand. Roll into 5 cm balls.

Step 2Mix all sauce ingredients together and place in frypan.

Step 3Add meatballs, cover and cook on high heat for 12 minutes.

Step 4Tilt lid and lower heat, leave to cook a further hour.

Step 5Serve with grated cheese and pasta.
