Absolutely the best pastie filling ever.
Ingredients
- 400 g beef mince
- 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 potato
- 1 swede large
- 2 carrot
- 2 parsnip
- 2 garlic clove mashed
- 2 cups vegetable stock
- 2 tbs Worcestershire sauce
Method

Step 1Dice the potato, parsnip, swede and carrot to even 5 mm cubes.

Step 2Chop the onion and garlic finely..

Step 3Saute the onion with a little extra virgin olive oil.

Step 4Fry the meat in a little oil in a heavy pan until well browned, breaking up the mince as much as possible.

Step 5Add the garlic and vegetables, salt and pepper and continue to stir over heat so that they gain slight colour.

Step 6Add stock and Worcestershire sauce.

Step 7Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, making sure that the potatoes don't lose their shape.
