Quick and easy creamy sauce dinner that has many variations to suit your dinner time preference.
Ingredients
- 600 g kassler pork thinly sliced
- 2 tbs butter
- 3 tsp curry powder
- 1 leek diced small
- 1 red capsicum sliced small
- 1 green capsicum sliced small
- 3/4 cup tomato puree
- 1 tsp vegetable stock (liquid)
- 150 ml Bulla Cooking Cream
- 2 tbs sour cream
Method

Step 1Melt butter in a deep saucepan and add the curry powder. Stir for a minute or two.

Step 2Add capsicum, leek and the meat strips and stir for another minute or two or until the meat is slightly browned.

Step 3Pour in the tomato puree and the vegetable stock and stir well to combine.

Step 4Allow to simmer for a few minutes then add the cooking cream and bring to a simmer.

Step 5Simmer for 5 minutes with the lid on, stirring once or twice.

Step 6Stir through the sour cream and turn off the heat to serve immediately.

Recipe Notes
Kassler is a smoke-cured loin of pork that resembles a whole chunk of bacon. It can be sliced into thin steaks and served with steamed vegetables or sliced into strips and served on a bed of rice.
Use Kassler or lean smoke-cured loin of pork and thinly slice into small steaks or into strips.
Adjust the curry to suit your taste. This recipe is for a mild to moderate curry flavour.
Always trim the meat of any fat before adding to this recipe.
