A family favourite. These gravy potatoes go well with roast beef or lamb. A simple recipe, but rich flavour. - cookingfor11

Ingredients

  • 1L beef stock (liquid)
  • 1kg Ruby potatoes peeled
  • 2 OXO beef stock cubes
  • 2 1/2 tbs onion powder
  • 1 tsp mustard powder
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbs freshly ground black pepper

Method

  • Step 1
    Place potatoes, water and liquid beef stock in a large saucepan or cooking pot. Bring to the boil.
  • Step 2
    Add all other ingredients.
  • Step 3
    Simmer on low heat for 1 hour. Stirring occasionally. Best served with roast beef or lamb.
