A sweet, crunchy biscuit that's always popular.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 Weet-Bix crushed
- 1 tsp golden syrup
- 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 1/2 tbs boiling water
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 drops vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup coconut
- 125 g milk chocolate chips optional
Method

Step 1Beat butter and sugar, then add vanilla.

Step 2Melt golden syrup, add water and bicarbonate of soda, then stir into butter mix.

Step 3Combine flour, coconut and Weet-Bix, then mix in butter mixture. Add choc chips.

Step 4Place large teaspoonfuls on tray, and bake at 160C for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on tray.
