A very healthy and tasty food bar that's great for the school lunch box.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup plain flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 85 g dried apricots finely chopped
- 85 g sultanas chopped
- 85 g dried apple finely chopped
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 170 g butter melted
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup icing sugar for dusting
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C. Lightly grease and line a 23cm square tin.

Step 2Combine oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and mix until combined.

Step 3Add apricots, sultanas, apples, melted butter and vanilla, stirring well until dough is crumbly and moist.

Step 4Press dough into tin and level out.

Step 5Bake for 30-35 minutes. Allow to cool in tin, before cutting into bars.

Step 6Dust with icing sugar.

Recipe Notes
Any dried fruit can be used.
