A great dessert and the rum won't hurt the kids as it's burned off.
Ingredients
- 125 g butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup rum
- 8 banana small
- 4 scoops ice cream
Method

Step 1Melt butter or margarine in a pan on low heat.

Step 2Add sugar and orange juice. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Peel bananas and add to pan. Simmer for 5-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 3Arrange bananas in a warmed serving dish, spoon over the remaining sauce.

Step 4Place rum into a clean saucepan on low heat cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5Pour rum over the bananas and carefully ignite.
Recipe Notes
Serve immediately with ice-cream or whipped cream of your choice.
