Filled with Vegemite and cheddar cheese, these super-easy savoury scrolls won't last long in the lunch box!
Ingredients
- 3 cups white bread flour
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tbs milk powder
- 1 1/2 tbs butter
- 1 tsp psyllium husk
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 tsp yeast
Topping
- 2 tbs Vegemite
- 1 1/2 cups cheese, grated
Method

Step 1Combine all bread mix ingredients in a a bowl and knead by hand until it comes together. Keep in a warm place to rise for two and a half hours.

Step 2On a floured board, roll the bread dough into a large rectangle. Spread with Vegemite and top with grated cheese. Working from the length of the dough, gently wrap away from you to form a log.

Step 3Cut into slices around 2 - 3cm thick and place cut-side up on a floured tray. Cover with a damp towel or cling wrap and allow to rise for another 20 minutes.

Step 4Bake in a 190C oven for around 20 minutes or until the scrolls are brown on top and the cheese has melted.
Recipe Notes
If you don't want to make your own bread, you can use 1 quantity of white bread mix instead.
Feel free to use more cheese and Vegemite to taste.
