Ingredients

  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 cup bread mix
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp yeast
  • 220 ml water

Method

  • Step 1
    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and knead either by hand or with dough hooks, until a smooth, elastic dough is formed.
  • Step 2
    Allow to rest for approximately 1 hour.
  • Step 3
    Preheat oven to 200C.
  • Step 4
    Roll dough out to desired thickness and place on baking tray or pizza stone.
  • Step 5
    Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the base is half cooked.
  • Step 6
    Remove from oven, cover with desired toppings and return to oven for a further 15-20 minutes or until completely cooked.

Recipe Notes
As this base uses yeast and bread mix, some oven spring usually occurs. This can be deflated by gently squashing with a clean tea towel. This makes 1 large or 3 small pizza bases.
