A versatile pizza dough that will give you a crisp or chewy base depending on how you like it.
Ingredients
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 2 cup bread mix
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp yeast
- 220 ml water
Method

Step 1Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and knead either by hand or with dough hooks, until a smooth, elastic dough is formed.

Step 2Allow to rest for approximately 1 hour.

Step 3Preheat oven to 200C.

Step 4Roll dough out to desired thickness and place on baking tray or pizza stone.

Step 5Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the base is half cooked.

Step 6Remove from oven, cover with desired toppings and return to oven for a further 15-20 minutes or until completely cooked.

Recipe Notes
As this base uses yeast and bread mix, some oven spring usually occurs. This can be deflated by gently squashing with a clean tea towel. This makes 1 large or 3 small pizza bases.
