Pea and ham soup.
Ingredients
- 500 g green split peas
- 1 onion diced
- 500 g bacon bones
- 4 potato cubed
- 5 carrot chopped
- 1 L water
Method

Step 1Place ingredients into a slow cooker or pot, and cover with water.

Step 2Cook for 5-6 hours in slow cooker, stirring once, or simmer for 2 hours on the stove, stirring every half hour.

Step 3Remove meat from the bacon bones and return to the slow cooker or pot.

Step 4Cook for a further 1 hour or until vegetables are soft, then season to taste and serve.
