A spicy, crunchy treat.
Ingredients
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 125 g butter chilled cubed
- 1/2 cup honey warmed
- 1 cup raw sugar
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 190C.

Step 2Place first 6 ingredients into a food processor and process until mixed.

Step 3Add butter and process until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

Step 4Pour in honey while processor is on and mix until a dough forms.

Step 5Roll mixture into small balls and roll in raw sugar.

Step 6Place on lined baking trays and bake for 10 minutes.

Step 7Stand on trays for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
