Ingredients

  • 2 rabbit jointed
  • 1 tbs oil
  • 2 tbs plain flour
  • 2 tomato chopped
  • 2 apple chopped
  • 2 tomato diced
  • 1 tbs curry powder
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 700 ml water
  • 1 tbs rice
  • 1 tbs parsley

Method

  • Step 1
    Heat the oil in the camp oven and baste rabbits for about 10-15 minutes, then set aside.
  • Step 2
    Mix the onions, apples and tomatoes with flour, curry, tomato sauce and salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Place all the ingredients into the dripping and add water.
  • Step 4
    Stir until it mixture is bubbling then place lid on and cook slowly.
  • Step 5
    After 1 hour add the rice and parsley.
  • Step 6
    Cook for a further 1-1½ hours until tender.
Recipe Notes
Dripping can be used.
