Ingredients

  • 2 brown onion diced medium
  • 2 tsp garlic chopped
  • 3 tsp ground coriander
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 3/4 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 300 g canned crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup coconut cream
  • 1 kg white fish fillet cut into pieces fresh

Method

  • Step 1
    Fry onion and garlic in a little oil until lightly browned.
  • Step 2
    Add spices and make a paste.
  • Step 3
    Add tomatoes and combine.
  • Step 4
    Add coconut cream.
  • Step 5
    Add fish.
  • Step 6
    Cook for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Step 7
    Serve with Jasmine rice.
Recipe Notes
The coconut milk can be left out of this recipe if you are watching your weight but you will need to add more canned tomatoes. I usually add fresh coriander before serving. I use either fresh flathead or latchet.
