Snaffle some of the kids’ rice bubbles and mix it with chocolate and condensed milk to make a heavenly chewy treat that sets in the fridge in under an hour. This slice is perfect for last-minute sweet cravings or a child’s birthday party.
How to make condensed milk rice bubble slice: key tips
You only need 4 ingredients for this delicious slice, and chances are you already have them in the pantry – rice bubbles, milk and dark chocolate and sweetened condensed milk.
When lining the pan, make sure the baking paper overhangs two of the long sides slightly. This will make it easy to lift the slice out. You can then chop it into squares on a chopping board using a long sharp knife.
Key ingredients in this condensed milk rice bubble slice
Rice Bubbles is actually a brand and there is no reason you can’t use any similar puffed rice cereal for this slice – the results will be the same.
The sweetened condensed milk coats the rice bubbles and gives this slice a moreish creamy, almost caramel, flavour.
Chocolate melts are small pieces of chocolate that melt down easily, but you can easily swap them for choc bits or cooking chocolate.
Rice bubbles on their own are quite bland and so work very well when mixed with the likes of chocolate, caramel and lollies, adding crunch and texture. Here are 16 more recipes using rice bubbles, and another 20+ recipes to use up breakfast cereal.

Recipe Notes
Can I change up this condensed milk rice bubble slice?
Milk chocolate is used for the base and dark chocolate for the topping of this slice, but you can use whatever chocolate you prefer. Try sprinkling a little desiccated coconut onto the top layer of melted chocolate before it sets.
This slice would be delicious with chopped dried fruit, crushed chocolate biscuits or finely chopped nuts added to the mixture, but you may need to add a little more condensed milk to compensate for any extra ingredients.
How do I store condensed milk rice bubble slice?
This slice can be stored in an airtight container in a cool pantry for up to 7 days.
