Ingredients

  • 125 g soft butter
  • 1 cup icing sugar sifted
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder sifted
  • 2 tbs milk
  • 1 tbs vanilla essence

Method

  • Step 1
    Cream butter, icing sugar and cocoa together in mixing bowl.

  • Step 2
    Add milk and vanilla essence.
  • Step 3
    Beat until fluffy, approximately 5-10 minutes.
Recipe Notes

For plain chocolate frosting, leave out the vanilla essence. Does need a fair amount of beating but worth it as it gets really light and fluffy.
