This cake is very moist and simply delicious.
Ingredients
- 2 cup plain flour
- 2/3 cup cocoa unsweetened
- 1 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/3 cup water
Icing
- 4 tbs cocoa
- 4 tbs butter
- 3 tbs coffee (liquid)
- 2 tbs vanilla essence
- 1 cup icing sugar
Method

Step 1Stir first 4 ingredients together and set aside.

Step 2With mixer at high speed, beat the next 3 ingredients in a large bowl for 3 minutes. Reduce speed and beat in mayonnaise.

Step 3Gradually add flour mixture alternately with water.

Step 4Pour into 2 greased and floured 23 cm round tins.

Step 5Bake at 180C for 30-35 minutes.

Step 6Cool and ice.

Step 7Icing: Mix the icing ingredients together, and add icing sugar mix until it is the desired consistency.
