Ingredients

  • 1x packet strawberry jelly crystals
  • 1x punnet strawberries, sliced
  • 600ml custard
  • 1x store bought chocolate mud cake (icing removed)
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 3x Flake chocolate bars
  • 1x punnet fresh cherries

Method

  • Step 1
    Make jelly per packet instructions and pour into the base of a trifle dish.
  • Step 2
    Add strawberries into the jelly and place in the fridge until jelly has set.
  • Step 3
    Remove from the fridge once set and add the custard on top.
  • Step 4
    Pull apart the mud cake (removing icing prior) and crumble over the custard.
  • Step 5
    Place cream into a bowl and using electric beaters, whip the cream till soft peaks form.
  • Step 6
    Spoon the cream on top of the mud cake.
  • Step 7
    Crush up the flakes over the cream then simply top with fresh cherries!
