A twist on the classic chocolate trifle, using only 7-ingredients, this trifle will be the ultimate crowd pleaser! Simple, tasty, fuss-free, it'll be your go-to dessert recipe for the festive season.
Ingredients
- 1x packet strawberry jelly crystals
- 1x punnet strawberries, sliced
- 600ml custard
- 1x store bought chocolate mud cake (icing removed)
- 300ml thickened cream
- 3x Flake chocolate bars
- 1x punnet fresh cherries
Method

Step 1Make jelly per packet instructions and pour into the base of a trifle dish.

Step 2Add strawberries into the jelly and place in the fridge until jelly has set.

Step 3Remove from the fridge once set and add the custard on top.

Step 4Pull apart the mud cake (removing icing prior) and crumble over the custard.

Step 5Place cream into a bowl and using electric beaters, whip the cream till soft peaks form.

Step 6Spoon the cream on top of the mud cake.

Step 7Crush up the flakes over the cream then simply top with fresh cherries!
