Ingredients

  • 225 g chestnuts
  • 110 g sugar
  • 50 g milk chocolate grated
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 egg whites beaten well

Method

  • Step 1
    Boil chestnuts until tender. Rub through a sieve and add sugar.
  • Step 2
    Melt chocolate in a little water on top of stove until smooth.
  • Step 3
    Add the chestnut pulp and lightly fold in the egg white.
  • Step 4
    Place dessertspoonfuls of mixture on a greased and lined oven tray.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 180C for 10-15 minutes until crisp.

Cocoa can be used.
