This is an easy cabbage side dish. Even if you're not a big fan of cabbage, this one is worth a try. Very yum. - KristieC

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1/2 cabbage sliced
  • 1 onion sliced
  • 2 bacon rashers chopped
  • 2 celery stick chopped optional
  • 1/4 tsp garlic optional
  • 1/2 tsp salt and pepper

Method

  • Step 1
    In large frying pan, heat butter or margarine.
  • Step 2
    Add garlic, cabbage, onion, celery, bacon, salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Cook until cabbage is soft and bacon has browned, stirring regularly.

Equipment

  • 1 frying pan
Recipe Notes

Cabbage will look like you have way to much when cut up, but will shrink a lot when cooked. Use butter or margarine.
